5 Podcasts You Should Be Listening To

5 Podcasts All Conscious-Minded People Should Be Listening to by Contributing Writer: Sue O’Callahan

Last fall, a new project required I commute regularly to a studio in the Valley. The drive was a good hour each way. After hearing the same songs played over and over again for a few weeks, I decided to change it up. I started tuning into podcasts and health summits. By making the switch, everything about the commute changed. First, I stopped focusing on other people’s driving. Second, I found out just how much I truly enjoyed listening to experts talking about subjects they love. It felt like being back in school. This week, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite podcasts where hosts and experts alike dive deeply into their field of expertise.

Kiwi wonder women, Rachel Hunter and Emma Mildon, bring a new dimension to higher frequency podcasting in their interview with Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand’s Prime Minister. In a relaxed and engaging style, Hunter and Mildon give us a peek into this visionary leader’s everyday affairs.

Secret sauce for consciously manifesting, anyone? In the Conscious Company podcast, Cali Alpert speaks with Kundalini yogini and author, Karena Virginia, on the necessary ingredients for manifesting the heart’s greatest desires.

As a functional nutrition enthusiast, I genuinely enjoy Max Lugavere’s podcasts. This segment on Intermittent Fasting with Dr. Satchin Panda of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies examines how thousands of rhythms govern our bodily functions and affect the human genome, biome, brain and the development of major diseases.

The Wise Woman Tradition, one of the oldest, most nurturing forms of healing, is brought to life by Susun Weed, whom I lovingly think of as my elder plant spirit fairy godmother.

I recently came across Rich Roll’s series, Guru’s Corner. Always interested in the words and teaching of guiding light, Guru Singh, I couldn’t resist checking it out. Together, the pair meaningfully explore healing depression. The conversation is intimate, the need real.
