Kindle a Flame of Hope in Our Hearts

– JULY 2020 ISSUE –

Dear Friend,

“Once you choose hope, anything is possible.” Christopher Reeve, known for his role in Superman, said this after an unthinkable accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down. He never gave up on his rehabilitation, his career and the possibility of scientific discovery.

This spring I had hoped we would have flattened the COVID curve by now and would be enjoying some “normalcy”. But life is more uncertain than ever. Will I get to travel to see my family and friends? Will there be school for my children in the Fall? I’m finding it hard to stay hopeful. I am feeling scared, selfish and a bit whiny. And unlike Reeve, I have full-body mobility.

What can we do to kindle a flame of hope in our hearts?

Here’s my go-to short-list: 1. Run in nature. 2. Volunteer to help others. 3. Create a new vision board 4. Call an old friend. 5. Practice gratitude. 6. Read, listen to or watch stories of individuals who overcame tremendous odds to see their hopes realized.

To help in our way, Conscious Good is rolling out our streaming service, CGoodTV, for FREE. To help you see the good in the world we are thrilled to premiere on July 7th, C the Good , a four-part series on how Creativity-Community-Connection-Collaboration are pillars of a conscious world. Each part features thought-leaders, artists, community leaders, and Creators Network members.

Watch on your favorite streaming device!  Besides being available through the browser on your desktop, tablet and mobile, starting on July 7th, CGoodTV apps will be available for all major platforms, including iOS, Android, Amazon FireTV, AppleTV, AndroidTV, Chromecast and Roku.  The same login you create online can be used to access all CGoodTV apps!  You can sign-up for this service here.

Throughout July – and every month hereafter – CGoodTV will offer new and exclusive videos, filmmaker interviews and live events that can nurture and spread hope in your life.

What are you doing to rekindle your hope? We’d love to hear your ideas and inspirations. Join us on the Creators Network and share.

With love & gratitude,

Join us on July 30th at 5pm PST/8 pm EST for this ‘Infinite Potential” special event.

Meet with us ‘virtually’ in the field that connects us all, as Bohm so deeply believed.

Interview with filmmaker Paul Howard

Recently I had the privilege of watching the film, “Infinite Potential: The Life and Ideas of David Bohm” and spoke with its creator, Paul Howard. Paul is a Producer, Director, and Executive Producer of international repute with an enviable track record in documentary, television series and most recently in feature production.  Paul, what inspired you to become a visual storyteller? A filmmaker?

I was always interested in photography which I inherited from my father. In his spare time, he would take me on field trips and he encouraged my interest. I had a deep desire to express myself. I was keenly interested in the movies and had my favorite directors and was especially inspired by Stanley Kubrick. And while I would have liked to make feature films, I decided eventually to specialize in documentary. I loved getting my teeth into something and spending time in pre-production, production and editing in order to shape a project and give it real production value.
