Let’s Simplify

“The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.”

Keep It Simple

Come springtime, we’re always scrambling to clean out our homes and rid our lives of clutter. The cycle of collecting things then clearing them out when the winter chill starts to thaw has become so routine that we even have a term for it: spring cleaning. Well, what if instead of leaving the process for our future selves to deal with months from now, we did ourselves a favor and start detangling our lives right now? Let’s simplify for fall with these three simple steps:

1. Set goals

Like most things in life, it’s much easier to recognize what you aim to achieve by sitting down and mapping out a plan, rather than diving right in. Mindfully realizing goals is an important step towards simplifying your life and here’s how you can do that.

2. Declutter your mind

You can’t expect to declutter other aspects of your life like your garage, car or file cabinet without taking a step back and clearing your mind of busy thoughts first. Need some help transcending your fast-paced mind? We’ve got you covered.

3. Simplify your relationships

Time is precious and it shouldn’t be spent maintaining relationships that are unhealthy, not mutually beneficial or have grown apart past repair. Letting go of relationships that no longer serve us can be sad, but also freeing and it will leave more time for the ones that are most important.
