Summer may not officially be over, but it sure feels like it is. Beaches are less crowded, there’s a chill in the air and schools are back in session which means morning commutes are back to being miiiiserable. But author Anthony J. D’Angelo had a point when he discussed the importance of developing a passion for learning – and arguably the only good thing about morning commutes is that they provide us with the opportunity to do just that. Here are five podcasts to keep your brain stimulated and your mind growing while on your morning commute.

1. Learning to Respond, Not to React

When stressed, we often react with looping fear-thoughts, feelings and behaviors that cause harm to ourselves and/or others. In this talk, Tara Brach offers three interrelated strategies that can serve us when we’re triggered by stress, and help us find our way back to our natural wisdom, empathy and wholeness of being.
