“You Are What You Watch.”
— Conscious Good
So let’s hope you’re watching something good …
We’re assuming we can all agree that no one wants to be The Real Housewives or The Bachelor, am I right? In an effort to avoid zapping anymore brain cells, we’re here to provide you with five new pieces of conscious content. Trust us, you’ll be entertained as you learn – smart is sexy, after all.
We traveled three weeks through the northern Himalayas of India, from Himachal Pradesh to Kashmir. It was a journey from valleys to peaks up to 5000m. We experienced a massive amount of different cultures, three major religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, met incredible people, saw never seen before nature and walked right next to the wildest animals.
2. Practice mindfulness
“Earlier this year I boarded a plane bound for Europe. With no firm plans, I was able to freely roam, discovering new places and meeting new people. One of these people was Mathieu Le Lay, a French adventurer and filmmaker, and someone who’s work I’ve followed on Vimeo for quite a while. After hearing I was in London, he very kindly invited me to come and explore France with him, to which I keenly accepted. It’s times like this I really love the internet … connecting two people with a similar love of filmmaking from opposite sides of the earth.” You’ll want to hear more about their connection.
3. Recognize your triggers
The life of Tao. Be inspired while learning her yoga history and techniques.
4. Buy yourself time
Finnish freediver Johanna Nordblad holds the world record for a 50-meter dive under ice. She discovered her love for the sport through cold-water treatment while recovering from a downhill biking accident that almost took her leg. British director and photographer Ian Derry captures her taking a plunge under the Arctic ice.
5. Respond, don’t react
Real Balinese healers continue to use the ancient knowledge of their ancestors to treat people without expecting anything in return. I Gusti Mangku Sumantra is a traditional healer from the Gianyar region of Bali who has been healing people since the 1970s when his father passed away. Learn more about the healer and the healing being done.
